Always wanted to know more about your family history? Denise, co-host and creator of Murderous Roots, would love to help you hunt for your ancestors. Denise charges $30/hour for her research. She does require a $50 consulting fee. The consulting fee includes a 30-60 minute consultation on Zoom, Google Meets, or FaceTime, as well as an hour of research time. The $50 will be applied to her services if you engage her services.

Family tree research

Have you always wanted to learn who your ancestors were? Or do you have a specific genealogical question answered or puzzle solved?

With family tree research, Denise will dig for answers to your questions and help build your family tree.

This type of research can be limited or wide open, depending on your needs and budget. After the research is complete, you will be provided with a downloadable PDF file with all the information found, including sources, documents, and newspaper articles. Additionally, you can request a Gedcom file (your family tree that can be uploaded on software or a family tree website). To get started, please fill out this form.

Genetic genealogy

Are you wanting to connect with genetic relatives? Does your DNA results confuse you and you want clarification? Or are you an adoptee, or child/grandchild, looking for a birth parent? Did your DNA results that a parent or grandparent is not related to you?

With the use of genetic genealogy, Denise will help you sort through all the questions you have and help to find an answer.

This type of research can sometimes be solved within a matter of hours, but often can take much longer to solve—usually 10 hours or more, depending on the complexity of your case. During the consultation, Denise will discuss with you options and a time frame in helping answer your questions. You will be provided with a downloadable PDF file with as much information as Denise is able to provide. heir research

Are you looking for descendants of an ancestor in your tree? Are you trying to establish heirs for an estate?

Denise will look through probate records to help identify missing and unknown heirs and next of kin to an estate. Additionally, she can provide you with a list of missing heirs and other beneficiaries.

This research usually takes at least 5 hours to complete, oftentimes more. Once the research is complete, Denise will provide you with a report detailing her findings as well as family charts/trees, documentation, and source citations provided as a downloadable PDF file. heritage travel

Have you ever wanted to walk in the steps of your ancestors, visit their graves, or visit your ancestral origins?

Denise is not only a genealogist, but she is also a travel agent. She would love to help you explore your family history through travel. To do this, you will either need to provide her with your family tree or hire her to research your tree first. If you already have a family tree, visit her travel website and look for the section “Family Heritage Travel.” There you will find a form that you can fill out for more information. However, if you do not currently have a family tree, on the form requesting her genealogical services, let Denise know that you intend to plan a family heritage trip once her research is completed.
